Pamela finishes tied 7th

Pamela Pretswell finished in joint 7th place in the Ladies European Tour's Deloitte Women's Open championship at The International Golf Club, Amsterdam today. An even par 73 gave her a 2 under par total of 217, 6 shots behind the winner, England's Holly Clyburn. Charlie Hull, England, was in second place.

Pamela finished on level par today in spite of starting with a bogey at the first and a double bogey at the third.

 

Lanarkshire Team for Inter County Matches

Pamela now joint 7th

Pamela Pretswell is now tied 7th in the Deloittie European Ladies Open in Amsterdam after a level par 73 in the second round today. She is 5 strokes behind the leader Camilla Lennarth.  

Pamela is joint 10th in Amsterdam

Pamela Pretswell is lying in joint 10th place in the Ladies European Tour's Deloitte Women's Open at Amsterdam in the Netherlands today after a 2 under par round of 71.

The leader is Camilla Lennarth (Sweden) on 66.

The May Spoon was held on a cloudy but dry day at Cathkin Braes G C today . Conditions were wet underfoot after the heavy rain yesterday.

Please note that the CSS of 75 calculated by the computer earlier was wrong. It is not reduction only. There was a fault in the programme which has now been repaired. The 72 has been verified manually.

Alyson wins Scottish Championship

Alyson McKechin, Elderslie, won the Scottish Championship at a very wet Longniddry GC today by defeating Clara Young, North Berwick, 3&2.

Scottish Championships Matchplay Rounds

In the first round Susan Wood defeated Kate McIntosh 4&2 but was defeated in the 2nd  round by Alyson McKechin 5&4. Jenny Potter lost in the first round to Clara Young 7&6.

Ruth Rankin lost 6&4 in the first round of the Clark Rosebowl to Kimberely Beveridge. Emma Caddow beat Lauren D'Ambrosia in the first round 3&2 but lost narrowly in the second round to Sheena Wood by 1 hole.

Susan and Jenny qualify for Championship

After the second qualifying round of the Scottish Championship at Longniddry G C Susan Wood after rounds of 84,83  has qualified in 23rd place for the matchplay while Jenny Potter with rounds of 86,83 qualified in29th place.
Emma Caddow with rounds of 86,86 , Lauren D'Ambrosia 94,79 , and Ruth Rankin 87, 90 have qualified for the Clark Rosebowl.
Jessica Meek, Carnoustie was the top qualifier.
Tomorrow Susan will play Kate McIntosh Broomieknowe. Jenny  plays Cara Young. Ruth plays   Kimberley Beveridge and Emma plays Lauren . We are thus guaranteed  a player in the next round.

Difficult conditions at the Scottish

It was an extremely windy day with gusts up to 45mph and occassional heavy showers at the Scottish Ladies Close Championship at Longniddry Golf Club today. I'm told that a good drive was travelling 150 yards into the wind and a nine iron shot was travelling 170yards with the wind behind.

Six Lanarkshire members are competing.

Pamela finishes joint 31st

Pamela Pretswell finished joint 31st in the Turkish Ladies Open at Antalya Golf Club after a final round 75, earning 2,212 Euros.  

Pamela has good third round

After the third round of the Turkish Ladies Open Pamela Pretswell is in joint 31st place on 224 after a one under par 72 which looked at one stage as if it was going to be a much lower score. Pamela reached the turn in 33 but dropped three shots to par over her last six holes in an inward 39. She is now 9 shots behind the leaders, Charley Hull and Carlota Ciganda.

Pamela makes cut in Turkey

Pamela Pretswell has made the cut after two rounds of 76 in the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. She is 10 shots behind the joint leaders Laura Davies, Trish Johnston and Carmen Alonso.

Some Lanarkshire Success at West of Scotland Championship

At West Kilbride Golf Club today Megan Briggs, Kilmacolm, won the West of Scotland Championship with a gross score of 76. Rachael Cassidy, Bothwell Castle was second with a 76, BIH from Lauren D'Ambrosia, Carluke. As Lauren had the best net score of 68 she won the Handicap Salver and Nicola Ferguson won third scratch with a 78.

The Lanarkshire team of Susan Wood, Lesley Lloyd and Rachael Cassidy were beaten after a count back by Renfrewshire on 156. D&A also had a total of 156.

The Lanarkshire Junior team of Eva O'Connor, Heather Neilson and Ellie Bryce won the Junior Salver with a total of 144.
