In the friendly match with Midlothian yesterday  at Mortonhall GC there were some very close matches that went to the 18th but Lanarkshire lost the Fourball matches 4-1

On a very windy but mainly dry day today the team played a friendly match against East Lothian on Gullane No.1 Course.
Unfortunately they lost 4-0 but enjoyed playing this excellent course in spite of the difficult conditions.

Change of Venue for Winter Training Today

The team squad had their winter training on a glorious Autumn day at Gleneagles golf club today. Six of the squad,( Lesley Lloyd, Emma Caddow, Susan Wood, Susan McGrenaghan, Rachel Cassidy and Kirsten Brown ) played a friendly match against Stirling University and won all three of their fourball matches. Ellie Bryce played for Stirling University.

The other members of the squad played fiercely contested matches against their fellow squad members.

Unfortunately due to the frost and lack of temporary greens  the tee off was delayed until the afternoon and so the matches had to be played over 9 holes. Never the less we all thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Caddies still needed

Caddies (Trolley pullers) are still needed for the Inter County Matches at Cardross GC on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th June. The golf course is very nice and the journey time from most parts of Lanarkshire is no more than 1 hour.

The team members would very much appreciate your help. No previous experience is needed and you are not expected  to do anything other than provide the requested clubs and keep them clean and dry.

If you can commit to at least 1 half day please contact Anne Lloyd.

On a fine sunny day at Baberton Golf Club today Our senior team had a nice friendly halved match with Midlothian while Midlothian Juniors had a 2-0 win. The final game of the senior match was decided by a hole in one by Kate McIntosh at the 17th after Jenny and Ruth had fought back from 5 down by winning 3 holes in a row.

Squad enjoy last day of "winter" training

After enduring some freezing cold, wet and windy days throughout the winter, the Senior and Junior Squads were delighted to have a lovely warm and sunny day for their final session of training at Playsport.

Many thanks are due to Lesley MacKay for all her hard work and patience with the squads over the winter.

West Division women's Inter-County Team Championship

Day 2 Scoreboard at Kilmacolm Golf Club

Renfrewshire, the defending champions, had two wins out of two today with a 7-2 victory over Lanarkshire.
In the other match a strong fight back in the singles by Ayrshire just failed to wipe out their 0-3 deficit from the morning foursomes. Dunbartonshire and Argyll won 5-4.
