Ruth is Runner up in Scottish Senior Women's Championship

 Hard luck Ruth in losing 2&1 in a close run final but many congratulations in being runner up in the Scottish  senior women’s championship . The winner Karen Ferguson- Sneddon has now won the championship 3 years in a row, a great achievement.

to Ruth Hunter on reaching the final of the Scottish Senior Women's Championship at Aboyne . She beat Lorna McKinlay 4&2 in round 1, Jackie Brown 4&2 in round 2, Elaine Moffat 2&1 in the semi final and at the moment is playing last year's winner Karen Ferguson Sneddon in the final. The June Spoon was held at Hamilton GC on Monday where they were lucky to avoid any showers.

Kennedy Salver completed in spite of heavy showers

This year's Junior Inter County matches for the Kennedy Salver was played at Airdrie GC yesterday. In spite of some extremely heavy showers in the afternoon the course held up very well and  the girls stoically played on with good humour. 

 Many congratulations to the winners, Dunbarton and Argyll. Two of our Lanarkshire girls played in the D&A team.

Inter County Matches 2023 Days 2&3On day

On day 2  Renfrewshire beat D&A 6 1/2  - 2 1/2  and Lanarkshire beat Ayrshire 6-3. This proved to be the day that decided the outcome of the Trophy winners as on day 4 Renfrewshire beat Ayrshire 5-4 and Lanarkshire beat D&A 5-4.  Ayrshire and D&A finished in joint 3rd place with 1 match point. Both Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire finished with 5 match points.  Lanarkshire finished with 15 1/2 game points but Renfrewshire finished on 16 game points. 

Many Congratulations to the winners Renfrewshire.

Inter County Matches 2023 Day 1

 On the first day of the intercounty matches at Williamwood GC all four teams finished on 4 1/2 game points and 1 match point each. Renfrewshire halved with Lanarkshire and D&A halved with Ayrshire.

Jamboree

The Inter County Matches at Williamwood GC start tomorrow until Wednesday.

Supporters would be made most welcome. 

Inter County Foursomes Final

Ayrshire hosted the Inter County Foursomes final this year at Ballochmyle Golf Club on a beautiful sunny day on Monday..

Many of the ladies hadn't played the course before and found it to be quite trick however there were some excellent scores.

Scratch
