May forced to retire from Scottish Seniors' Championship

In the first round of the handicap matchplay at the Scottish Senior Ladies Championship at Prestwick St Nicholas GC today May Hughes beat Mary Smith (Tain) 5&4.
Unfortunately while leading in her Quarter Final tie she damaged a muscle in her back at the 13th hole and was not  able to continue to play . Hard luck May.

Very Well Done Girls

At Hamilton GC today the Lanarkshire Girls' team won the Junior Inter County Matches for the Kennedy Salver.
The team was: Megan Docherty (Bishopbriggs ),Taylor White (Cathkin Braes),Katie Graham (Hamilton),Jodie Graham (Hamilton), Leah Bryce (Sandyhills),Jennifer Riley (Hamilton) and Madeleine McGregor (Hamilton).

The link to the online entry form for the FJ Morison Cup at Wishaw GC on 23rd July is on the sidebar.  The Morison Cup is a 36 hole scratch competition. The handicap limit is 20. The first round net scores of the Morison Cup also counts for the  Blackjack Cup for adults and for the Junior Championship for Juniors.

The link to the online entry form to the Blackjack Cup and Junior Championship at Wishaw GC on 23rd July is also on the sidebar. These are 18 hole competitions. Handicap limit 36.

Renfrewshire Win Inter County Matches

After a very close finish Renfrewshire beat Ayrshire 5-4 to win this year's West Inter County Matches. The Match was decided by the result of the last match which finished on the 17th.

Scottish Championship update

Katie Scott beat Anna McKay by 1 hole this morning to reach the final of the Clark Rosebowl. Unfortunately she lost by 1 hole to Louise Fraser in the final.

This morning in the Scottish Championship matchplay Molly Richmond was unfortunate after p[aying well to lose at the 24th hole to Jasmine Mackintosh. Susan Wood lost 2&1 to Lorna McClymont;
Katie Scott won her match in the Clark Rosebowl this morning against Megan Robb 4&3 and went on to beat Cara Thompson by 1 hole.

Lanarkshire members qualify for Matchplay at Scottish Championship

At the Scottish Championship at Elie Molly Richmond and Susan Wood have qualified for the Championship Matchplay.Molly had rounds of 71& 76 . She will play Jasmine Maackintosh, Hazelhead Golf Club, tomorrow morning.

Susan had rounds of 74, 77. She will play Lorna McClymont, Milngavie. Could this match be repeated next week?

Katie Scott has qualified for the Clark Rosebowl matchplay after rounds of 81,79 and will play Megan Robb, Peterculter GC,tomorrow morning.
