Finalists of Winter Foursomes now decided

Yesterday at Bothwell Castle Golf Club in difficult winter conditions Jo Clark, Bothwell Castle,  and Katie Burden, Csmbuslang, beat Ann Roulston and Sheila Sergenson, both East Kilbride 2 and 1 in the second semi final of the Winter Foursomes.
They will now meet Marie Lowson and Joanne Holley, Strathaven in the final.

Today on a beautiful frosty day at Strathaven Golf Club, in the first semi -final, Marie Lowson and Joanne Holley, Strathaven, beat Joan Anderson and Margaret Marshall, Wishaw, 6 and 4.

Closing date for Winter Foursomes semi-finals

Due to the bad weather over the last couple of weeks and course closures the closing date for completion of the semi-finals has been extended until Sunday 11 February.

Winter Foursome Result

On a very cold but sunny day at Wishaw GC today Joan Anderson and Margaret Marshall beat last year's winners, Roxy Brown and Kay Cherrie, 4&3, in the last Quarter Final tie of the Winter Foursomes Competition.

The AGM and prizegiving was held at Cambuslang Golf Club last night.

Winter Foursomes Results

On a lovely sunny day today two Quarter Final Winter Foursomes ties were played.
Results:
In an all East Kilbride match Sheila Sergenson and Ann Roulston beat Enid King and Karen Ward 2 up.
At Cambuslang GC Jo Clark, Bothwell Castle, and Katie Burden, Cambuslang, beat Irene Cooper and Anne Clark, Drumpellier, 3&1.

Lesley Lloyd who was presented wth the Heather Anderson Trophy for the leading qualifier in the West Vets' Championship is pictured with West Vets' Champion Lz Stewart.

Match v East Lothian

It was a lovely sunny  but cold day at Gullane for the match against East Lothian today. 
Unfortunately the sun affected the quality of the photograph of the team above.
The match finished in a nice friendly half. Each team won 2 and halfed 1 match.
