Pamela to represent Scotland in China

Pamela Pretswell and Carly Booth   will be Scotland's pairing in the Mission Hills World Ladies Championship at Mission Hills Haikou, on the paradise island of Hainan, China, from March 6 to 9.
It will be Carly's third consecutive appearance in the team tournament but Pamela will be making her debut.

Kirsten Brown, Strathaven, is a member of the new young SLGA Squad who are enjoying a week’s training with National Coach, Kevin Craggs, at Desert Springs in Spain.

In a very close Winter Foursomes Final at Strathaven Golf Club today Moray Meechan and Gail Campbell defeated Jean Maddock and Edna Taylor 1 up. Fortunately the weather was not as bad as forecast with only one snow shower.

Pamela has joint lowest score in round 4 of Australian masters

In the final round of the Australian Ladies Masters at Royal Pines Resort on Queensland's Gold Coast  Pamela Pretswell had a 7 under par 66 to add to her previous rounds of 72, 74 and 78.

She had 6 birdies in a row and finished on  2 under par for a  joint 34th place.

The winner was Cheyenne Woods, niece of Tiger. She finished on 16 under.

President Anne Burden fighting hard against her illness

Unfortunately while enjoying her Christmas holidays with her family in Sutton Coldfield Anne suffered a severe stroke and heart attack. Since then Anne has been fighting back and the doctors have decided she is now well enough to be transferred to the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow. Although Anne has been making progress her mobility and speech are very limited, which means she could be in hospital for quite some time. At the moment visiting is limited to family only.

Anne's family, Andy, Bobbi, Katy and Mike would like to thank everyone for sending all their get well good wishes.

Pamela Makes Cut in New Zealand Open

Pamela Pretswell shot a four under par 68 today following a 78 yesterday to make the cut in the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women's Open at Christchurch.

Fixture List Updated

The fixture list in a previous post has been updated to include the date and venue for the May spoon which is Sunday 18th May at East Kilbride Golf Club.

Winter Foursomes Holders Through to Final

In a very close semi final today the holders Moray Meechan and Gail Campbell defeated Anne Pardoe and Lauren D'Ambrosia  with the last putt on the 18th.

They will now play Jean Maddock and Edna Taylor in the final.

Pamela finished tied 6th

Pamela Pretswell finished tied for 6th after rounds of 69 and 70 in the Mount Broughton Classic in New South Wales.

Captains of ScottishTeams Announced at SLGA AGM

Congratulations to Elaine Cuthill who will captain the Ladies European Team and to Susan Wood who will captain the Under 16 Team and the Girls European Team.

Pamela is 2 Off The Lead in Australia

Pamela Pretswell is two off the lead after a 3 under par 69 in the opening round of the two day Mount Broughton Classic in New South Wales. 

An Eventful Winter Foursome Semi-final

Edna Taylor and Jean Maddock were victorious at the 1^st extra hole today in their semi- final played at Cathkin Braes against Carol McKinnon and Pauline Warlow. It was an up and down match. They were 2 down by the 3^rd,  4 up by the 12^th helped by a long putt and a chip in!!  Then in a senior moment Jean played out of turn on the 13^th tee had a hole in one but lost the hole!!!!  They then lost 4 holes in succession but were finally victorious at the first extra hole.  Certainly a round of golf to remember for a variety of reasons.
