Edna Taylor and Jean Maddock were victorious at the 1 st extra hole today in their semi- final
played at Cathkin Braes against Carol McKinnon and Pauline Warlow. It was an up
and down match. They were 2 down by the 3rd, 4 up by the 1 2th helped by a long putt and a chip
in!! Then in a senior moment Jean played
out of turn on the 1 3th
tee had a hole in one but lost the hole!!!!
They then lost 4 holes in succession but were finally victorious at the
first extra hole. Certainly a round of
golf to remember for a va riety of
reasons.
