Inter County Matches 2023 Days 2&3On day

On day 2 Renfrewshire beat D&A 6 1/2 - 2 1/2 and Lanarkshire beat Ayrshire 6-3. This proved to be the day that decided the outcome of the Trophy winners as on day 4 Renfrewshire beat Ayrshire 5-4 and Lanarkshire beat D&A 5-4. Ayrshire and D&A finished in joint 3rd place with 1 match point. Both Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire finished with 5 match points. Lanarkshire finished with 15 1/2 game points but Renfrewshire finished on 16 game points.

Many Congratulations to the winners Renfrewshire.

Inter County Matches 2023 Day 1

On the first day of the intercounty matches at Williamwood GC all four teams finished on 4 1/2 game points and 1 match point each. Renfrewshire halved with Lanarkshire and D&A halved with Ayrshire.

Inter County Foursomes Final

Ayrshire hosted the Inter County Foursomes final this year at Ballochmyle Golf Club on a beautiful sunny day on Monday..

Many of the ladies hadn't played the course before and found it to be quite trick however there were some excellent scores.

Scratch

1st Jennifer Rankine and Jennifer Mack, Renfrewshire, 76

2nd Liz Stewart and Donna Jackson, Renfrewshire, 80

Handicap

1st Fiona McWhirter and Ann Houston, Lanarkshire, 96 - 29 = 67bih

Megan reaches semi final of Scottish Women's Championship

Megan Docherty played in the Scottish Women's Championship at Ladybank GC this weekend. She narrowly qualified for the Championship on Friday with rounds of 82, 73. In the first round of matchplay she beat the leading qualifier, Lorna McClymont, 2&1 and Penelope Brown 3&2 in the quarter final to reach the semi final where she lost to the eventual champion Carmen Griffiths who was in excellent form throughout the competition.

Ruth Retains West Vets Championship

Many congratulations to Ruth Hunter who on Thursday at Renfrew Golf Club won the West Vets Championship for a second year in a row.

It was a closely fought final with Ruth beating Gillian Kyle with the last putt on the last green.

Good weather for first Spoon competition.

Congratulations to vice captain Deirdre Anderson, Dullatur, on winning the May Spoon division one with a net 68 at Easter Moffat yesterday and to scratch winner Fiona Norris, Hamilton, with a gross 78.

Also well done to division two net and scratch winner Kay Lilburn, Hayston, with 103 (31) 72.
