Anne (far left) with the Stanford University Women's Team.

Anne was a member of our Lanarkshire Ladies County Team in the late 1990s. She was a Scottish Junior International and was part of the successful Scotland team that won the Junior Home Internationals at Mullingar GC in Ireland in 1998. Anne left Strathaven in 1998 to take up a golf scholarship at Berkeley University in San Francisco but in the summer of 1999 returned to the UK and won the Welsh Open Strokeplay Championship.
In America, Anne then found success and individual honours in the Division 1 NCAA collegiate scene and having a very successful individual career was inducted into the California Athletics Hall of Fame and was awarded the PAC-10 Medal of Honour as Berkeley’s top graduating female-student athlete.
Anne stayed on in America after graduating as an Assistant Coach at her alma mater Berkeley before being named as Head Coach at UC Davis in 2008 where she was a winning ‘Coach Of The Year’ 3 times. She took UC Davis from a Division 2 team to Division 1. In 2012, Anne was named the Margot & Mitch Director of Women’s Golf at Stanford University where she still is today.  Stanford is one of the most prestigious universities in USA and since Anne was appointed as their coach they have enjoyed unprecedented success. Anne has become a well-known and respected head coach and has led the Stanford team to numerous successes including winning the National Championship in 2015 and then runners up in 2016. Indeed
Anne was also selected to coach the ‘International Team’ at the inaugural 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup at Evian Resort Golf Club in France.
Resident in America, Anne is married to her husband Chris and has two daughters, Emma and Isla.
Anne due to living in the US was unable to attend the AGM but she sent the following acceptance.

"I am humbled by this gracious gesture and want to thank everyone involved with the process. I am grateful for the support of the Lanarkshire Ladies Golf Association and very proud to be named an Honorary Member alongside women that I consider to be some of Scotland's finest golfers. My early years in the game were certainly shaped by County golf and the friendships I made playing in the medals, jamborees and attending the winter training sessions at the Hamilton range! Thank you to all the women that have continued to welcome juniors to these events and helped them develop a passion for golf, the same way you did for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful evening and thank you again!"
