Renfrewshire retained the West Division women's inter-county team championship at Kilmacolm Golf Club today. They completed their programme with a 100 per cent record by beating
Dunbartonshire and Argyll 7-2. Earlier in the week Renfrewshire had beaten Ayrshire 6 1/2-2 1/2 and Lanarkshire 7-2.
Three Renfrewshire players won six out of six games over the three days - Megan Briggs (Kilmacolm), Alyson McKechin (Elderslie) and Clare-Marie Carlton (Fereneze).
The other match today resulted in a draw between Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.
Renfrewshire are the first of the divisional champions to qualify for the Scottish county finals at Bothwell Castle from September 17 to 19.
