The course was in magnificent condition. With the sun shining and very windy the course played even longer than its 6022 yards. The ladies found it a tough challenge. However, Lesley Lloyd and Fiona Scott representing Lanarkshire scored 39 each way to win the Scratch Award with a 78.In the handicap event the qualifiers found it even more difficult with the winners being Dorothy Woodger and Maida Grant (D&A) with a net 83.5
