Junior Team are winners

Well done to the Lanarkshire Junior Team of Kirsten Brown, Molly Richmond and Katie Scott who won the Junior Team Trophy at the West of Scotland Championship at Bonnyton Golf Club today Also well done to Molly who finished third in the Championship. Megan Briggs was The Championship winner and Renfrewshire won the Senior Team Trophy.

AlysonHendry had 2 at 18th

In the  scratch strokeplay round which replaced the matchplay rounds Molly Richmond finished in 7th place with a 2 over par 76 and Katie Scott finished in 15th place with a 6 over par 80. The Scottish Girls Champion was Hazel MacGarvie, Ladies Golf Club Troon.

In the nett strokeplay round Megan Docherty finished tied 6th with a net 72.

Day 2 of Boys and Girls Amateur Championships cancelled

Today's rounds in the Boys' Amateur  Championship at Lanark and the Girls'  Amateur Championship at Baberton were cancelled due to thunderstorms. The cut for tomorrow's round in the boys' was decided over yesterday's 18 holes and the girl's matchplay rounds have been changed to 18 holes of strokeplay tomorrow.

Well done girls

Well done Molly Richmond and Katie Scott who have qualified for the Matchplay Championship in the Scottish Girls Close Amateur Championship at Baberton Golf Club. Molly Qualified in 5th place with a 2 under total of 146,2 strokes behind the leaders, after two strokeplay rounds while Katie finished in joint 12th place after a total of 158.  The top 16 qualify
Kirsten Brown finished tied for 23 rd  but as second flight is for net scores she failed to qualify but Megan Docherty in 32nd place did qualify for the second flight as she had a very good net score
Justine Fulton finished in 35th place.

Scottish Ladies Team finish with a win against Italy

Scotland finished their European women's amateur team championship campaign at Oddur Golf Club, Iceland with a 3.5-1.5 win over Italy in a Flight B match.

Jess Meek and Heather Munro halved the foursome.

In the singles, Hannah McCook won by 4 and 3, Rachael Taylor by 3 and 2 and Eilidh Briggs by 2 and 1.

Connie Jaffrey lost by 3 and 2.
