Janice through to semi final
In her quarter final match against Elaine Allison Janice Paterson won 3& 2 while May Hughes lost to Noreen Fenton by the same margin.
Janice will now play Noreen Fenton. The other semi final will be between Alex Glennie and Heather Anderson.

Qualification for Scottish Seniors goes to a play off
Congratulations to Alex Glennie, captain of Ayrshire, who won the Senior strokeplay Championship with a score of 150 (76,74).
After the second round of strokeplay in the Scottish Senior Ladies Championship May Hughes finished on 81 and qualified in 10th place for the matchplay tomorrow.
Janice Paterson and Pat Hutton were in a play off along with Jennifer Mack and Lorna Bennett for the three last qualifying places. Janice, Pat and Lorna were successful in winning these places after the second play off hole.

Pamela Wins on Day 2 of the Vagliano Trophy but GB&I lose
The Continent of Europe team won the Vagliano Trophy today for the third time in a row in the biennial women's amateur international golf match over two days at Royal Porthcawl's windswept links in South Wales .
They made light of the bad weather – a very strong, cool wind and intermittent rain –to beat Great Britain and Ireland 15 ½-8 ½.
