It's Victory for Lanarkshire

 

Congratulations to Captain Deirdrie and her team in winning the Inter County Matches at West Kilbride Yesterday.. 

In another cold very ,windy and sometimes wet conditions they beat D&A 3.5 to 2.5 in the singles and so 6-3 for the match.

Renfrewshire beat Ayrshire 5-1 in the singles and 5.5- 3.5 for the match.

Lanarkshire finished on a full set of 6 points, Renfrewshire finished second. D&A third and Ayrshire fourth.

 After morning foursomes Lanarkshire lead D&A 2.5-0.5.

 After this morning’s foursomes Lanarkshire lead Renfrewshire 2 .5 to 0.5

D&A lead Ayrshire 2-1.

In the singles Lanarkshire beat Renfrewshire 5-1 giving a total of 7.5 to 1 .5

D&A beat Ayrshire 3.5- 2.5 giving a total of 5.5-3.5

Very well done Susan Woodhouse who won the Clark Rosebowl at The Scottish Championship at Nairn Dunbar Golf Club today, 

Many congratulations to D&A's Lorna McClymont who won the Scottish Championship. Excellent.

Unfortunately Jodie Graham lost her tie .

Two Lanarkshire players through to quarter finals.

 Well done to Susan Woodhouse and Jodie Graham in reaching this afternoon's Quarter Finals of the Clark Rosebowl. Unfortunately Susan Wood lost by 1 hole.

Megan Docherty lost by 2&1 in the Championship. Lorna McClymont, D&A, and Freya Russell, Ayrshire, are through to the quarter final.

Lanarkshire Players qualify for Matchplay rounds in Scottish Championship

 Congratulations to Megan Docherty who finished on 3 over par and  tied in 10th place after the 36 hole Strokeplay Scottish Championship at Nairn Dunbar GC yesterday.

She has qualified for today's Match play Championship and will play Carinne Taylor from Nairn GC.

Also in the Championship match play Lorna McClymont, D&A will play Jennifer Rankine, Renfrewshire.

Congratulations also to Susan Wood (+5),  Jodie Graham (+8) and Susan Woodhouse(+9) who have qualified for the Clark Rosebowl.

Susan Wood is playing Summer Elliott, Jodie is playing Pamas Abhiteachapan and Susan Woodhouse is playing Carly Macdonald.

Winter Greensomes Competition completed

Congratulations to Lynne Feeley and Christine Paterson who in the final of the Winter Greensomes  in the sunshine today at Drumpellier GC, beat Lynne Williamson and Irene Morton 2&1. It was a friendly and close fought game.

This is the second year in a row that Lynne and Christine have won this competition.
