Good start to day 3

 Today’s foursomes

Susan Woodhouse and Jodie Graham won 9&8.

Rachael and Katie won 4&3

Megan and Eva won  5&4

Renfrewshire won 2 &1

Well done girls

 On Tuesday Lanarkshire won 6.5-2.5 against Ayrshire. In the singles they won 4.5-1.5 after some great fight backs in some games eg Leah faught back from 5 down to 1/2 her match.

Renfrewshire beat D &A 9-0.

Order of play for Inter County Matches

 The order of play in the Inter County Matches which are taking place from tomorrow to Wednesday at Milngavie GC is as follows.

Monday: D&A v Ayrshire and Lanarkshire v Renfrewshire

Tuesday: D&A v Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire v Ayrshire

Wednesday: Renfrewshire v Ayrshire and Lanarkshire v D&A

Susan is the Scottish Women’s Champion


 Susan Woodhouse won the final this afternoon by beating Freya Russell 1 up. Massive congratulations Susan.  Both players played spme fantastic golf in 35mph winds/

She was 2 up after 15 but lost the 16th and 17th but won with a birdie on the 18th.


Susan was well supported  during the final by members of her family. friends. members of East Kilbride GC and Lanarkshire County.

 Susan Woodhouse won her semi final match at the 19th. She was 1 up for most of the match but lost the 17th.

Well done Susan

 Congratulations to Susan Woodhouse in reaching Tomorrow’s semi finals at the Scottish women’s championship by beating Kaci Robertson 3&2. She will play Jasmine Macintosh.

Susan reaches Quarter Finals

 Susan Woodhouse won this morning’s match against Robin Fowler 2&1.

Jodie Graham was very unfortunate to lose her match against  Kaci Robertson at the 21st. 

Kirsten Brown was also unfortunate to lose at the 19th.

Katy and Eva also lost their matches but played well.

Some Lanarkshire qualifiers in Scottish Women’s championship and Clark Rosebowl

Congratulations to Jodie and Katy Graham and Susan Woodhouse in qualifying for the Scottish Women’s Matchplay Championship at Western Gailes. Kirsten Brown just lost out after a poorer second round but did qualify for the Clark Rosebowl as did Eva O’Connor.

Congratulations Lesley and Joan

Well done Lesley Lloyd in finishing Runner up in the Scottish Senior Women’s Golf association West Division Championship at Renfrew Golf Club today.

 The following members are competing in the Scottish Women’s Championship at Western Gailes from Friday: Kirsten Brown, Leah Bryce, lodie Graham. Katy Graham, Ruth Hunter, Abigail McCafferty Eva O’Connor, Susan Wood and Susan Woodhouse.

After the 36 hole qualifying strokeplay on Friday those with the best 16 gross scores will compete in rhe Championship Matchplay while those with the next best 16 gross scores will compete in Matchplay for the Clark Rosebowl.

Many Congratulations to Eva









 Many congratulations to Eva O’Connor in winning the West of Scotland Championship on a lovely day today at Cochrane Castle GC Lanarkshire players swept the board of scratch prizes. Eva (Bothwell Castle) had a great gross score of 73 BIH from Susan McGrenaghan (Hayston). Rachael Neil(Taylor) (Blairgowrie and Lanarkshire ) was third with 76 and Susan Woodhouse (East Kilbride) 4th with 77. The Lanarkshire team of Susan , Eva and Susan won the team prize.

The Handicap Trophy was won by Susan McGuire( Williamwood and Renfrewshire) with a net 69

Championship Results

Congratulations to  Leading Qualifier Kirsten Brown, East Kilbride GC winning the Scratch with an excellent score of.74 beating her club mate Susan Woodhouse by 2 shots. Leading Silver  Net score for 2025 is Ellie McManus of Airdrie GC who returned a net 70 narrowly beating Mari Scott of Strathaven GC by one shot.

Leading Qualifier in the Bronze Section  was Janet Leiper, Strathaven, with 99 one shot better than Christine Paterson and Anne Cameron, both Strathaven,

The best net sore in Bronze was an excellent 69 by Carol Saunders Strathaven.  Carol with the best net score in either division has won the Centenary Trophy.

Good luck to those playing in the Helen Holm

 The Helen Holm Championship will take place from 18 to 20 April. On Friday and Saturday 120 will Compete on  Troon Portland. There will then be a cut and the 60 with the best gross scores will play on Royal Troon on Sunday. 

The following members of the Lanarkshire team are competing: Kirsten Brown, Leah Bryce, Jodie Graham , Katie Graham and Susan Woodhouse. Play well, good luck and enjoy girls.
