At this afternoon's AGM and Prizegiving the new captain, Fiona Norris, and new President, Shena Boyd, were appointed.

Prizes were presented, a successful raffle was held for funds and scones and cakes were enjoyed. Some dates for your diary Coffee Morning 22 February at EK GC, Championship Qualifying 22 April, Cathkinbraes, West Championship 18 May Cathcart Castle and Jamboree 9-11 June Milngavie.

Thank you once again to Cambuslang GC for the use of their clubhouse.

Congratulations to Midlothian on Winning the County Finals

 In a close match  Midlothian  beat Lanarkshire 5- 4 to earn a full 3 competition  points and to win  the County Championship Trophy and gold medals.

Lanarkshire finished on 1.5 points as did North but Lanarkshire won more games  and so they finished second and won silver medals and the FJ Morison Trophy. Very well done girls.

Team for County Finals


The team for the Scottish County Finals at Eyemouth GC on 30,31 August and 1st September is as follows:

Abigail McCafferty (Airdrie), Eva O'Connor (Bothwell Castle), Molly Richmond (Strathaven),

Susan Wood (Drumpellier) and Susan Woodhouse (East Kilbride)

We wish them all the best.

The other Counties competing are: Borders, Midlothian and Northern Counties.

Ruth Selected for Scottish Teams

 Congratulations to Ruth Hunter who has been selected for the Scottish team for the European Senior Ladies' Tram Championships from 3-7 September in Slovenia and also for the Scottish team for the Women's and Men's Senior Internationals from 17-19 September in Northern Ireland.

 The Lanarkshire Team that competed in the Junior Inter County matches at Cochrane Castle today against Ayrshire, D&A and Renfrewshire was as follows:

It's Victory for Lanarkshire

 




Congratulations to Captain Deirdrie and her team in winning the Inter County Matches at West Kilbride Yesterday.. 

In another cold very ,windy and sometimes wet conditions they beat D&A 3.5 to 2.5 in the singles and so 6-3 for the match.

Renfrewshire beat Ayrshire 5-1 in the singles and 5.5- 3.5 for the match.

Lanarkshire finished on a full set of 6 points, Renfrewshire finished second. D&A third and Ayrshire fourth.

Its a win for Susan

 Very well done Susan Woodhouse in reaching the semi final of the Clark Rosebowl by beating Carys Irvine 5&3. Good luck tomorrow.

Unfortunately Jodie Graham lost her tie .

Two Lanarkshire players through to quarter finals.

 Well done to Susan Woodhouse and Jodie Graham in reaching this afternoon's Quarter Finals of the Clark Rosebowl. Unfortunately Susan Wood lost by 1 hole.

Megan Docherty lost by 2&1 in the Championship. Lorna McClymont, D&A, and Freya Russell, Ayrshire, are through to the quarter final.

Lanarkshire Players qualify for Matchplay rounds in Scottish Championship

 Congratulations to Megan Docherty who finished on 3 over par and  tied in 10th place after the 36 hole Strokeplay Scottish Championship at Nairn Dunbar GC yesterday.

She has qualified for today's Match play Championship and will play Carinne Taylor from Nairn GC.

Also in the Championship match play Lorna McClymont, D&A will play Jennifer Rankine, Renfrewshire.

Congratulations also to Susan Wood (+5),  Jodie Graham (+8) and Susan Woodhouse(+9) who have qualified for the Clark Rosebowl.

Susan Wood is playing Summer Elliott, Jodie is playing Pamas Abhiteachapan and Susan Woodhouse is playing Carly Macdonald.
