Enjoyable Match v East Lothian today

On a lovely sunny autumn day at Strathaven GC today a very friendly match was played against East Lothian. Many of the matches were close being decided on the 18th with East Lothian winning most of them to win by 3 1/2   to  1 1/2.

Winter Foursome Result

 In a second round tie at Mount Ellen GC today Roxy Brown and Kay Cherrie bt Lynn Porter and Etta Buchanan.

Well done Kirsten

In the Junior Champion of Champions at the Dukes course, St Andrews, yesterday Kirsten Brown tied 4th  with a 3 over par 74, 1 shot behind the winner Jasmine Mackintosh of Hazelhead Golf Club.

Molly Richmond finished 10th  and Katie Scott 14th .

The CSS was72. 

Winter Foursomes Results

Two second round ties were played yesterday. On a perfect golfing day at Cathkin Braes GC Pauline Warlow and Carol McKinnon defeated Anne Clarke and Irene Cooper.

In a lovely game Ray Wilson and Ann Morrison beat Barbara Livingstone and Marie Hamilton.

In a second round tie at Strathaven Golf Club yesterday Sheila Sergenson and Ann Roulston,, East Kilbride, beat Jean Allan and Marion Brodie, Strathaven, 1 up.

On a lovely day at Strathaven GC today Margaret Porteous and Winnie Cossar, Drumpellier, beat Barbara Brown , Strathaven, and Ann Robertson, Hamilton, at the 19th.

Lanarkshire success in West Girls Championship

Many congratulations to Katie Scott on winning the West of Scotland Girls Championship for the second year in a row. Very well done, Katie.

Very well done also to Taylor White on winning the Bronze Championship.

In the finals Katie beat  Lorna McClymont and Taylor beat Sophie Kyle .

Very well done to Katie Graham in winning the handicap section of the Stephen Gallacher Foundation Finals Day, Race to Dunbar, today with a net 68.
60 boys and girls competed. As the girls had an extra stroke given Katie had a score of 67 for the competition. The CSS for girls was 74.
