In the last first round Winter Foursome tie Lynne Williamson and Irene  Morton beat Mary Frances McCaughley and Ann Houston.

In a first round tie at Dullatur GC today Louisa McCartney and Rena Canavan defeated Margaret Marshall and Joan Anderson 1 up.

So far the weather has been very kind for this year's ties. Let's  hope te rest of the winter is also.

Two more  first round ties were played yesterday. Sheila Sergenson and Ann Roulston defeated Jean Maddock and Edna Taylor at East Kilbride Golf Club.

Anne Morrison and Ray Wilson beat Anne Mungall and Marcia Stirling.

Ellie Bryce, Strathaven, was second with a  2 over par 73, two strokes behind the winner, Joanne Free, Gullane. in the SLGA Junior Champion of Champions at the Dukes, St Andrews, yesterday. Well done, Ellie.

Moray Meechan and Gail Campbell lost to Pauline Warlow and Carol McKinnon in a first round tie at Cathkin Braes Golf Club.

On Thursday at Strathaven GC Roxy Brown and Kay Cherrie beat Jean Allan and Marion Brodie.

On Friday at Cathkin Braes GC  Margo Paterson and Hilda Everett beat May Hughes and Paula McArthur .
Remember all first round matches must be completed by Friday.

Scottish Golf Strategy

During 2014, the Boards of Scottish Golf Union (SGU), Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association (SLGA), ClubGolf (Scotland) Ltd (CSL) and Scottish Golf Environment Group (SGEG) have engaged in a process of strategic review. The outcome of this work has been the production of a draft strategy for a 4-year period from 2014 to 2018 and we are now keen to seek views of all our members throughout Scotland.

Molly and Dionne win West Girls Titles

Congratulations to Molly Richmond who won the West of Scotland Girls Championship today at Troon Portland Golf Club  and to Dionne Dorricitt who won the Bronze Championship. 

Molly defeated Katie Scott at the 18th in the final. Dionne defeated Jan Adams.

Katie Scott beat Kirsten Brown at the 19th.

England Win Senior Home Internationals

England had their third win at the Senior Home Internationals at Huddersfield Golf Club. They beat Wales 7-1.

Ireland beat Scotland also  by 7-1  Lesley Lloyd and Sheena Wood in their morning foursome match were the only winners for Scotland.

England Win Against Scotland

Scotland lost 6-2 to England on day 2 of the Senior Home International at Huddersfield Golf Club while Ireland beat Wales 7.5-0.5.
