Scottish Seniors lose to Wales on first day of Home Internationals

In the Seniors Home Internationals at Huddersfield Golf Club Scotland lost to Wales 4 1/2 to 3 1/2 while England beat Ireland 5 1/2 to 2 1/2.
Scotland won the morning Foursomes 2-1 but lost the afternoon singles 3 1/2 - 1 1/2

In the first of this year's matches played, Margaret Porteous and Winnie Cossar defeated Karen Ward and Enid King 2 up.

Angus win County Finals

Angus won the County Finals at Hilton Park Golf Club Today after a narrow win over Renfrewshire by 5 games to 4.
Renfrewshire were runners up witth Borders who beat East Lothian by 5 games to 4 in third.

3rd Place Borders 2 Match Points
2nd Place Renfrewshire 3 Match Points
1st Place Angus 6 Match Points


Lanarkshire Juniors have half match with D&A

Lanarkshire Junior girls played a friendly match today  against D & A at Clober GC near Milngavie.  The match was  a draw with 1.5 points each and was played in good spirits and fantastic late September sunshine.. The Lanarkshire team was as follows Abbi Kidd (Lenzie) , Dionne Dorricott  (Strathaven ) and new Development Squad player Megan Docherty (Bishopbriggs).

Angus are only winners on day one of County Finals

On day one of the County Finals a5 Hilton Park Golf Club Angus defeated Borders 6 1/ 2 to2 1 /12 while East Lothian and Renfrewshire had a half match with 4 1/2 games each.

Lesley finished tied 18th

Lesley Lloyd finished tied 18th in the. S e noir British open Strokeplay Championship  at Royal  Dornach  Golf Club after an 80 in the final round today giving her an   8 over  par  total of 230 (77,79,80).

Lesley Lloyd is now joint 15th in Senior Ladies British Open  Strokeplay Championship at Royal Dornoch Golf Club after a 3 over par round of 77 in round 2 today.

Lesley is tied 9th in British Senior Championship

Lesley Lloyd is tied for 9th after round 1 of the British Seniors Championship at Royal Dornoch Golf Club. She along with Mary Smith, Tain, is the leading Scot after a 1 over par 77. The leader with a 5 under par 71 is Helen Lowe, Scraptoft. The CSS was also 76.

Lesley maintains good form

Lesley Lloyd had the lowest scratch score of 78 in the West Vets Autumn Meeting  in which 80 competitors took part at Erskine Golf Club on Tuesday.

Lanarkshire Couple second in Commonwealth Spoons Final

Rena Canavan and Louisa McCartney were second in the Commonwealth Spoons Final held at Ladybank Golf Club on Wednesday.48 couples from 14 different Counties competed. Louise MacGregor and her partner Tricia Chillas (Stirling & Clackmannanshire) took this years title with a nett 72  and in 3rd place were Linda Hay & Fiona Bennett (Renfrewshire) with a nett 74.5.

May and Lesley were runners up in Scottish Foursomes

On Saturday at a windy Auchterarder Golf Club May Hughes, Lanark, and Lesley Lloyd, Hayston, were runners up by 1 stroke with an 81 to Elaine Allison and Alison Davidson, Stirling, in the Scottish Foursomes.
