May Hughes is selected for Scottish Vets Team

Congratulations to May Hughes (Lanark) who has been selected for the Scottish Vets team v Irish Vets for the match for the Mary McKenna Trophy at West Kilbride Golf Club on Sunday14th/ Monday 15th April 2013.

In the last quarter final tie May Hughes and Paula McArthur (Cathkin Braes) defeated May Hughes and Ann Prentice.
This means that both semi finals will be a contest between Cathkin Braes and East Kilbride.

Jenna has Amateur Status Reinstated

LLCGA members are very pleased to welcome Jenna Wilson back into the Amateur Ranks.

Pamela fails to make the cut in Australian Open

After a second round of 79 for a 151 total Pamela Pretswell failed to make the cut by 6 shots in her first Major Championship as a Professional.
Catriona Matthew made the cut with a second round 75 for a 144 total but Carly Booth also missed the cut after an 82 for 155.
The new leader is Columbian Mariajo Unibe on 131.

Pamela makes a good start in the Australian Open

Pamela Pretswell scored a 1 under par 72 in the first round of the ISPS Honda Women's Australian Open. Catriona Matthew had a 69 and Carly Booth a 73. 
The leading player is again the 15 year old Lydia Ko from New Zealand with an opening round of 63.

Pamela has qualified for the Australian Open

Pamela Pretswell played in Australian Open Qualifying on Tuesday and shot two under par to finish joint second and qualify for the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open which starts at Royal Canberrra Golf Club  tomorrow.

May Hughes is top Scot in Spanish Seniors

May Hughes finished 22nd in the Spanish Senior Open Individual Strokeplay Championship at Cadiz Arcos Gardens.
Janice Paterson with her partner Barbara Biggart, an East Vet, finished 10th in the doubles competition.

Pamela playing well in New Zealand Women's Open

Pamela Pretswell, playing in her second European Tour event,  has made the cut after rounds of 78 and 67, is 1 under par after 10 holes of the third round and is level par (par72) for the competition so far. The leader,Lydia Ko, is 7 under.
Pamela finished the round in a 1 over par. 73 to finish 2 over par for the tournament and a share of 45th place. She was the only Scottish player to make the cut.
Lydia Ko retained her lead and finished on 10 under.

Moray Meechan and Gail Campbell have defeated Margaret Marshall and Joan Anderson and are now through to the semi final.
