Caddies still needed

Caddies (Trolley pullers) are still needed for the Inter County Matches at Cardross GC on Monday 18th, Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th June. The golf course is very nice and the journey time from most parts of Lanarkshire is no more than 1 hour.
The team members would very much appreciate your help. No previous experience is needed and you are not expected  to do anything other than provide the requested clubs and keep them clean and dry.
If you can commit to at least 1 half day please contact Anne Lloyd.

Pamela finishes third in Ukraine

Pamela Pretswell's hopes of back-to-back wins playing as an amateur on a developmental pro tour were blown away by a 25mph north-easterly wind at Kiev Golf Club in the Ukraine today.
She had a third and final round of five-over 77 - which was just about par in the conditions - for a final total of six-over 222 which earned her third place in the Golf Stream Women's Open, one of the Ladies European Tour's Access Series events.
Pamela had a double bogey 6 at the third and dropped another shot at the fourth but the real killer to her hopes was a string of five bogeys in six holes from the eighth to the 13th but she came back off the ropes to birdie the short 17th and long 18th to grab third place which will help her consolidate second place in the LETAS Order of Merit - the top three at the end of the season will gain automatic promotion to the 2013 Ladies European Tour without having to go to Tour School.
The winner by four strokes at Kiev was Russian Anastasia Kostina.

She shot the joint best round of the day, a four-under-par 68, a nine-shot improvement on her first-round effort, for a 36-hole tally of 145.
Belgium's Benedicte Toumpsin matched Pretswell's 68 and leads the field by four strokes with a three-under-par 141 tally.
Pamela covered her first nine holes in three-under-par 33 with birdies at the third, sixth and eighth. She got to four under par with a 2 at the short 12th but dropped a shot at the 14th - her only bogey - and finished on a high with a birdie at the long 18th.

Rachael Taylor shoots best-ever round of 66

Thanks go to Colin Farquharson for this report --
E-mail from Rachael Taylor (Based in Germany)
Just wanted to let you know that I am playing with my team Golf Club Am Reichswald in the Bavarian Ladies Team Championships this week. The top eight Bavarian teams compete for the title.
The teams play a stroke-play round the first day and the top four teams compete for the title. I had a fantastic first round yesterday (Thursday) and finished with a nine under par (and personal best) leading round of 66!
It feels great to have achieved that score. My drives were straight and I just kept knocking the ball in for birdies!
It went past so quickly it hasn't quite sunk in yet.
The matchplay stages start today and my team and I will come up against Münchener Golf−Club e.V, the defending champions. They beat us in a play-off last year so we are looking forward to a good match. You can see the scores on http://www.bayerischer-golfverband.de/
There will be live scoring again today.
I will be in Scotland for the St Rule at the end of the month.

Regards Rachael
