Squad Training

We had another session with Lesley MacKay at Playsport today in very cold and snowy conditions.

Our Honorary President, Ann Prentice, came along to see us going through our paces and ended up participating! Clare Queen also popped in to say hello and got involved in one of our team competitions. We all appreciated Ann and Clare coming along to support us on such a cold day.

Feedback from participants has been very positive and it is hoped that we will reap the benefit of Lesley’s work with us during the season ahead.

Elaine to captain under 16 Scottish team

The SLGA has named the full list of Captains for the 2010 season. Congratulations to Elaine Cuthill who has been appointed captain of the Scottish side in the SLGA under 16 Open Stroke Play Championship at Strathmore on 8-9 April. For complete list see West of Scotland website.

Janice finishes joint 20th in Spain

Janice Paterson finished joint 20th in the Spanish Seniors Open Amateur Championship in Cadiz and with her partner Barbara Biggart finished 16th in the pairs competition.

Fashion Show

Tickets for the Golf Fashion Show, being held on Thursday 15 April in Cambuslang Golf Club, are on sale and can be obtained from any member of the committee. As two years ago the clothes are being provided by Stewart Russell of East Renfrewshire Golf Club.
