Men and Women’s Homes Day 2

 Today Scotland’s mixed team lost narrowly 11-10 to Wales.

The Men’s team won 7.5-4.5 while the Women’s team lost 6.5-2.5.

Senior Women’s Jamboree

Scotland have won the Miller Stirling Salver today at Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club. Although they lost their last match against the North their fantastic play throughout the 3 days ensured a long awaited victory. 


Day 3 of Boys and Girls Home Internationals

On the third day of the boys and girls Home Internationals Scotland lost 13 -8 to England but the boys’ team beat England    7.5-4.5. 

In the overall standings the mixed team finished 2nd after England.

England outplay Scotland

 On  day1 of the Men and Women's Home Internationals  at Woodhall Spa Scotland lost 13-8 to England and Wales and Ireland had a half match 10.5-10.5.

Another win For Scotland Boys and girla

Boys’ and Girls’ Home Internationals - Day 2

Another brilliant win for our juniors - taking down Wales 15-6 to follow on from a day one victory over Ireland.

That means one thing in the combined event…..a winner takes all final day showdown against England tomorrow! 

After securing the morning foursomes session 5.5-1.5, the team kicked on in the singles.

The after.5-4.5 to set up the Auld Enemy match-up.

Another great team effort with a special shout out to our ‘double pointers’ - Erin Huskie, Jodie Graham, Carly McDonald, Jamie McDonald and Kiron Gribble! 

As well as having a chance to win the joint trophy, the boys have two wins out of two in their section and top the table.

The girls could still win their individual event if they win by five points against England.

Scottish Seniors make good start in Jamboree

 On Day 1 in the Senior Jamboree  at Kilmarnock Barassie GC the Scottish Senior Women's Golf  
Association team beat the South of England 21/2-1/2 and the singles 31/2-21/2 and so 6- 3


Men and Women play England tomorrow


 The Men and Women's Scottish Teams play England tomorrow in the Home Internationals at Woodhall Spa tomorrow. We wish them well. 

Boys and Girls Squads make good start in Home Internationals


 OOn day1 of the Boys and girls Home Internationals in Cork Scotland beat Ireland 11-10. They lost the morning foursomes 4-3 but won the afternoon singles 8-6.

Susan and Jodie selected to play for Scotland


Congratulations to Susan Woodhouse and Jodie Graham on their well-deserved selection to represent Scotland in the upcoming Home Internationals. 



Susan will be competing as part of the Women’s National Team at Woodhall Spa Golf Club in England (August 6–8), while Jodie will represent the Girls’ Team at Cork Golf Club in Ireland (August 5-7)

Congratulations Jodie


Jodie Graham has been selected to represent Scotland at the inaugural Kiltie Cup this week at East Lake in Georgia 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇺🇸A

The tournament is the result of a collaboration between Scottish Golf and the Georgia State Golf Association designed to offer a new competitive opportunity for junior golfers on both sides of the pond.

Taking place this year at East Lake Golf Club and due to be staged in Scotland in 2027, the Kiltie Cup will pit four boys and four girls from each side against the other in Ryder Cup-style fourball, foursomes and singles matches.

The international team match is named after Stewart “Kiltie” Maiden, born in Carnoustie, and a member of the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame

Well done Hannah

 



Congratulations to Hannah Sneddon , Lanark GC ,who last week was rummer up in the Scottish Girls Net Championship having lost in the final at the 19th.
Yesterday she won the Lanarkshire Girls Championship at Wishaw GC with an excellent gross score of 76. She also won Nancy's Cup and with the best Net score of 68 also won the Blackjack Cup. Very well done Hannah.
Well done also to Millie Lauchlan on winning the girls championship salver with a Net score of 78.
